This laminated piece , as well as the bird's eye maple and cherry clock , are summer school projects from John Makepeace's Parnham College in England . He has been a leader in the revival of craft furniture making since the 1980's , not only by establishing himself as an innovative designer but also 10 to 15 others each year as discerning artistes .
